Artist Statement:
Growing up in Ohio, that wide open flat land wasn't anything special to me. But now I paint to breathe some bright space into myself. They help me feel expansive and free. Especially during winter, when I feel squeezed under the weight of the heavy Pacific Northwest grey sky.
