Summer 2016: Artwork
The Beguiling Beauty of Life in Distress
by Carolyn Campbell
Size: 10" x 6.5"
Medium: Digital Photo Montage
Artist Statement:
As a coach, I am continually struck by the transformation that occurs when people shed the armor of their constructed world of ‘success’ – as all their facades crumble around them. It can feel so unsettling. And yet, it’s that moment when we fear that all will be lost, that moment when we don’t want others to see our fractured life – it’s that magical moment when a captivating beauty often emerges as if to say: here I am; see me for all my flaws and fears, see the regality of who I truly am.
