Summer 2015: Artwork
Put Me in Your Blue Skies
by S. Tudyk
Size: 60" x 48"
Medium: Acriylic on canvas
Artist Statement:
In 2014 I traveled to Marfa, Texas, on a self-imposed artist residency. I went there with an idea in mind about abstracting handwritten correspondence. Upon arrival, I was inspired by Donald Judd’s room-sized concrete boxes, and my letters took on a greater physicality and scale within a minimal landscape.
