Winter 2013: Young Voices
![Young Voices Section Artworkfor - Winter 2013 Issue](../Images/2013 1-Winter/SectionArt-YoungVoices.jpg)
Introduction
The three young voices in this edition tackle diverse topics in diverse genres: a younger brother’s autism in a touching essay (“Different”); broken time in a poem (“Old Clock”); and a terrifyingly broken world in the opening of a novel (“Drink”).
As Joanna Rose, our Youth Editor, says, “We listen to theses voices and hear the sound of a new generation of writers. These young women are fearless in their approach to their subjects and their sense of language shows an awareness of the culture — and a willingness to make it their own.”
