Winter 2016: Poetry

Poetry Section Artworkfor - Summer 2016 Issue

Introduction

This issue marks the 10th Anniversary of the journal created to amplify women’s voices into the world and the community. We are honored to have worked with such talented women writers on poetry that ranges from formal to light verse to the prose poem. Whether it’s Kris Demian’s finger-on-the-pulse poem, “Northwest Equinox, 2015,” Carolyn Martin’s timeless “To make a prairie,” Katherine Boyer’s lyrical “The Bullfrogs” or any of the other praiseworthy pieces included herein, this diverse mixture of both new and recognized poets has created a pivotal issue that we hope will be inspirational for many years to come. The editors would like to thank the contributing poets for making this Winter 2016 edition of VoiceCatcher: a journal of women’s voices & visions so memorable. May it shine a light through the long, dark nights this winter.
